About Azerbaijan Nature

Azerbaijan is replete with rich valleys and forests located between the West Caspian Coast and the South Caucasus east. Our nature is home to breathtaking flora, fauna and beautiful places to explore. The rich and versatile Azerbaijani flora resembles a large national carpet with its brightness and colorfulness.

Nature did not deny anything from our native Azerbaijan. The fact that 9 of the 11 main climatic conditions of the earth are here allows us to observe four seasons. We feel the warm breath of spring, to take a sunbath the in summer, experience the beauty of the golden autumn and the snow of winter. Our magnificient nature delights in each of the seasons and colours.

The unique nature of Azerbaijan is the result of its geographical location and various relief. While the Great Caucasus range serves to prevent cold air masses from the North, the Small Caucasus Mountains are protected from the hot tropical south. Today's landscapes of Azerbaijan, with its high mountains, volcanic mountains, deep canyons, plains, valleys and beaches, have been forming for millions of years.
